Notifying Mailers of Your Move
- Family members and friends: E-mail, call or send a note with
your new address and the date of your move.
- Magazines and newspapers: Follow instructions usually shown on the
second or third page.
- Credit cards, banks, investment firms, insurance companies:
Complete the bottom or back of billing statements and mail them in.
- Internal Revenue Service: Call 1-800-829-3676 for an IRS Change of Address form
or go
to the IRS Web site to select, download, and print Form 8822 and most other IRS tax forms.
- For general purpose use: Pick up a supply of free Form 3576
address notification postcards at your local post office.
